Team FalloutMysterious Whipper-snappers Briefly Haunted Auburn's "Golden Age of Softball"Summer 1981 - In the early 1980's, a young entrepreneur named Rob Reddemann, pulled together a rag-tag group of Colfax High School juniors, seniors, and recent graduates, and founded an unlikely softball team called FALLOUT. Although they mostly played against semi-pro, A-league, adult softball teams in the Auburn area, they never failed to surprise their opponents with trick plays, zany cheers, guest mascots, a cult following, and the occasional homerun belly slide! Mysteriously, Team Fallout vanished from the softball scene as quickly as they appeared ... but not soon enough for any team that had been the target of their obtuse taunting. The team was sponsored by the "Sunshine Flying School". At the end-of-the-season pizza party, hosted at the Auburn airport, the owner allowed the players to take turns flying the school's trainer plane, which may help explain the team's sudden disappearance. Where are they now? Team Fallout Baseball Card CollectionFortunately, we were able to obtain the original collection of Team Fallout baseball cards, which by now must be worth mucho coin on eBay!
